What is a hybrid athlete?
A hybrid athlete is someone who trains to improve both their strength and endurance simultaneously, so they become the best, most well-rounded version of themself. This means they can take on a range of different physical challenges and are more resilient and ready for anything.
Why this hybrid program?
Many Hybrid Athlete programs are extremely time intensive asking you to run 20+ miles per week along with marathon lifting sessions. This program is for intermediate trainers looking to build muscle, strength and improve their run times over 5-10 Miles.
What's the difference between Hybrid Athlete 1.0 and 2.0?
1.0 focuses on building your foundation with 3-5 mile running targets, while 2.0 advances you to 8–10-mile distances with more complex programming. You can start with either program based on your current fitness level, but 2.0 assumes you have solid training experience.
How many days per week do I need to train? The program is 6 training days per week - 3 strength training sessions and 3 running sessions but you can condense the schedule if you want to double up and lift & run the same day.
Can women do this program?
Absolutely! These programs work equally well for both men and women. The training principles, exercise selection, and progression methods are effective regardless of gender.
Do I need to follow the nutrition guide?
The nutrition guide and meal plans will accelerate your results, but they're not mandatory. You can see significant improvements following just the training programs. However, for optimal body composition changes, we highly recommend implementing the nutrition protocols.
