Reading books is a fantastic way to open our mind to new ideas and concepts. However, books don’t become powerful until that knowledge is applied. In this article I want to share with you 3 powerful books that, if applied, can definitely help you dominate in life.

"Knowledge isn’t power until it is applied" —Dale Carnegie

Ryan Holiday is a best selling author. His book, Obstacle Is The Way, is based on the philosophy of stoicism (living by a code of personal and moral ethics).
This book is basically the playbook for overcoming adversity and turning obstacles into opportunities for success.

BOOK #2 BACK IN THE FIGHT - SFC Joseph Kapacziewski

Back In The Fight is a memoir from Army Ranger combat veteran, Joseph Kapacziewski. Sergeant Kap (as he is referred to) served multiple combat deployments with the legendary 75th Ranger Regiment.

On one deployment Sergeant Kap took grenade shrapnel to his leg. After multiple surgeries he voluntarily had his leg amputated, so he could continue deploying to war.

His story is truly inspirational and is a prime example of how far individuals can truly push themselves if they choose to. Sergeant Kap teaches how to be the type of leader that people want to follow and honestly think after reading this book you will think differently about life.

This is also a raw tale about life in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Sergeant Kap recounts his experience going through Ranger selection, day-to-day training as a Ranger, and combat in Iraq and Afghanistan

If you’re looking for inspiration and interested in reading more about life in the 75th Ranger Regiment (or military history in general), then you’ll definitely enjoy this one.

BOOK #3 CAN'T HURT MEDavid Goggins

If you’re not familiar, David Goggins is a former Navy SEAL and ultra runner who has also been given the title “toughest man on Earth.”

You'll understand why after you read this amazing book.

Can’t Hurt Me is a must-read for anyone who feels like life is unfair, or they somehow got dealt a bad hand, actually, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to develop an unbeatable mind and stop letting excuses control their lives. David’s story shows how much suffering a human can overcome to accomplish their goals.

One of the major themes in the book is learning how to control our mental chatter, in order to become unstoppable. Throughout the book David peels back the onion and offers techniques we can use to callous and harden our minds, increase mental toughness, stop making excuses, and start to dominate in every aspect of life.

Probably the most important lesson in this book is that it’s on us to make things happen for ourselves. No one is going to do it for us. It’s up to us to learn from failures and learn how to course correct when things don’t go our way. It
is the book everyone should read, re-read, and internalize.
